Turning on payments
Fieldsmith takes payments through Stripe. Once you've connected, every invoice you send carries a link the customer can pay from, and the invoice marks itself paid when the money clears.
What you'll need
Stripe asks for the things any payment processor has to ask for: your legal business details, and the bank account you want the money to land in.
It's a form on Stripe's own site, not ours. Set aside ten minutes.
- Open Settings → Payments.
- Start the payment setup and follow the steps on Stripe's site.
- Come back to Fieldsmith when it's done.
What changes once it's on
Invoices you send carry a pay-now link. Customers can pay by card or straight from their bank account.
Payouts, under the Money tab, starts showing what's come in and what's on its way to your bank.
You don't have to use it
If you'd rather be paid by Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or Zelle, you can put those handles on your invoices instead. That's in Settings → Payments too, and it doesn't need Stripe.
