Delete your Fieldsmith account

Fieldsmith is the app for field service businesses, made by Field-smith LLC. You can close your Fieldsmith account and delete what is in it whenever you want. Do it yourself in the app, or email us and we will do it for you.
In the app
- Open SettingsSign in. On a phone, tap your picture at the top right, then Settings.
- Tap AdvancedIt is in the list on the Settings page.
- Tap Delete my accountType DELETE to confirm and enter your password. Signed in with Google? Leave the password blank.
The steps are the same in the Fieldsmith app on your phone and at fieldsmith.work in a browser. Only the person who opened the account can delete it.
Can't get into the app?
Email support@fieldsmith.work from the address you sign in with and say you want your account deleted. We write back to make sure it is you, then close the account. You don't need the app installed, and the same 30 days below apply.
On a crew? Your login belongs to the business you work for. Ask the owner to remove you, or email us at the same address.
What happens, and when
- Right away: the account closes and everyone on it is locked out. Notifications to your phones stop, and a calendar you subscribed to stops updating.
- For 30 days: nothing is deleted yet. Change your mind and you get it all back by signing in.
- After 30 days: it is deleted for good. That covers your customers, jobs, job photos, proposals and signatures, receipts and documents, expenses, materials, crew members, booking requests, text message history, support conversations, your business details and logo, and every login on the account. A QuickBooks connection is switched off, and Fieldsmith gives up its access to your Apple sign-in if you used one.
What is kept
- Invoices are kept, with the personal details removed. We take off the customer's name and email and your notes, and cut the link to the customer and the job. The amounts, dates, line items and whether each one was paid stay. They are financial records, and they are kept for tax and accounting.
- Our record that your business signed up. The business name and the contact name, email and phone number given at sign-up stay in our own sales records. Email support@fieldsmith.work and we remove those too.
- Payment records at Stripe. Stripe handles card and bank payments on your invoices and keeps its own record of each one. Deleting your Fieldsmith account does not close your Stripe account.
