The Growth tab: pin what you use, hide what you don't

What's on it

The cards sit on six shelves. Two cards are live so far: Card payments, first on the Get paid shelf at the top left of the board, and Reviews, first on the Get known shelf.

Every other card says Coming soon where its icon would be. Those aren't ready yet, and more switch on as they're built.

Tap a live card to see what it's for. Take card payments starts your payment setup right there, and Ask for reviews the easy way connects your Google listing. A coming-soon card can't be tapped yet: it's on the board to show you what's on the way.

Marking a card done

Once you've set something up, open its card and tap Mark this done at the bottom. The card gets a tick and stays on its shelf, so you can still find it.

Take card payments ticks itself once payments are on, and loses the tick if they stop. There's no button for it, because Fieldsmith can see whether payments actually work.

Ask for reviews the easy way works the same way: it ticks itself once your Google review link is set up.

Pinning your tools

Your tools holds the cards you use most. Only what you pin goes there. Nothing is added on its own.

To pin one, open the card and tap the pin at the top. To pin several at once, tap Edit on Your tools, tap each card you want (they show a +), then tap Done.

A pinned card leaves its shelf while it's in Your tools, and goes back when you unpin it. Tap a pinned tool to open its card.

On a phone, Your tools sits at the bottom of the screen above the tab bar, and stays put while the page scrolls. On a tablet or computer it's at the top of the page. Either way it grows a second row when the first one fills up.

Moving and removing tools

Drag a tool to where you want it. It moves as soon as your finger does, so there's no need to press and hold first.

With a keyboard, tab to a tool and press Space to pick it up, move it with the arrow keys, then press Space again to drop it.

To take a tool off, open its card and tap the pin again, or tap Edit and tap the tool (it shows a −). It goes back on its shelf.

Hiding cards you won't use

Some of these will never be for you. Hide one and it moves off its shelf into Hidden, at the bottom of the page. Coming-soon cards can't be hidden until they go live.

Open the card and tap Hide from my board. Live cards can also be hidden from Edit: tap Hide on the card. Hiding a pinned card takes it out of Your tools too.

To bring one back, tap Hidden to open it, then tap the card. On a phone you may need to scroll down a little to reach Hidden.

If you tap the wrong thing

Marking a card done, hiding one, bringing one back, and pinning or unpinning from a card each show an Undo for a few seconds.

After that, reverse it yourself: open the card and tap the same button again, or bring a hidden card back from Hidden.

Where to find it

On a tablet or computer, Growth is in the sidebar. On a phone it isn't in the bottom bar: tap the menu button at the top left, then Growth.

Your pins, hidden cards, and ticks are saved to your account, so the board looks the same on your phone and your computer.
