Finishing the setup checklist
The checklist on your dashboard is the short list of things that make Fieldsmith work properly for you. It disappears on its own once you've done them, and it never nags. Dismiss it and it shrinks to a small chip you can reopen.
What it asks for
Your business profile, because your name and phone print on every invoice. Your rate, because that's what customers get billed. A customer and a first job, because those are the two things everything else is built from. If you have people working for you, a crew member too.
Why the rate one matters most
Until you set it, Fieldsmith runs on a placeholder hourly rate of $75. That number was never your decision, and it's what an invoice would bill if you completed a job before changing it.
The question mark on each step
Every step has a small question mark that opens the article explaining it. It's the same help you'd get from the panel later. There's no separate tour to miss.
