Importing customers from a spreadsheet
If your customers already live in a spreadsheet, you can upload it rather than retyping. Fieldsmith reads the columns and shows you what it worked out before anything is saved.
What to upload
A spreadsheet or CSV with one customer per row. Column names don't have to match anything in particular. You get to confirm which column is the name, which is the email, and so on before it imports.
Check it before you commit
You see what's about to be created first. That's the moment to catch a file where the header row got treated as a customer, or where addresses landed in the notes column.
Duplicates
Importing the same file twice creates the customers twice. If you're not sure whether an import went through, look at your customer list before running it again.
