Adding and editing customers

A customer needs a name and nothing else, but an email address is what lets Fieldsmith send them an invoice. Everything on a customer can be changed later.

What's worth filling in

The email address, first. Without it you can't send this customer an invoice, and a completed job for them will leave you a draft instead of going out.

The address, second. It's where jobs for this customer default to, and it feeds the drive times on your day.

The phone number is for you. Fieldsmith only texts a customer if they've said yes to it separately.

Finding someone

Search matches as you type, on name as well as the other details. You don't need the whole name.

Removing a customer

Removing a customer takes them out of your lists but doesn't erase their history. Jobs you did and invoices you sent stay where they are, because your records of work and money shouldn't disappear because you tidied up a contact.
