Putting someone on a job
Open the job and pick who's doing it. If you work on your own, Fieldsmith does this for you and you'll never see the field.
Assigning
Pick a crew member or a team on the job. On the Dispatch board you can see the whole day laid out by person, which is the easier place to do it when you're balancing several.
Unassigned work
A job with nobody on it still exists and still shows on your schedule. It just shows as unassigned. That's fine as a staging state while you work out the day.
What the crew member sees
If they have a login, the job appears on their own schedule with the customer, address, time, and what the work is. If they don't, assigning is just a note to you about who's going.
